IFMSA August General Assembly, Montreal, Canada

The next General Assembly of the IFMSA (International Federeation of Medical Student Associations), the largest medical student body in the world, will be held from 31 July to 6 August in Montreal, Canada.

The theme for the meeting will be "Health and City", investigating the way that global urbanisation is influencing our health, our environment and our society.

Applications are now open and will close at 11:59pm on Friday 30th April. All interested students are strongly encouraged to apply for the Australian delegation, and to take advantage of the great opportunity to meet and collaborate with other medical students from around the globe.

AMSA Global Health Conference (GHC)

The GHC brings together Australia and New Zealand's most motivated medical students and junior doctors to collectively address the complex matrix of factors that contribute to issues of health in developing communities around the world. The 2010 GHC will be held from 1-4 July in Hobart, Tasmania

International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA)

An independent, non-governmental, non-profit and non-political federation of medical students' associations that exists to serve medical students throughout the world. In 2009 it had 97 National Member Organisations from 89 countries on six continents and represented more than 1.2 million students. The IFMSA is officially recognized by the United Nations and World Health Organisation.
